In the News
In addition to the contractual work that we do for specific clients, the facility also serves as a center for research about designing and developing usable and accessible interfaces for today's technology.
Research collaborations: We work collaboratively across the University and with external groups to develop grant proposals, conduct research on interface technologies and their development processes, and study the entire technology development life cycle from design and development to evaluation of user performance.
These services include:
- Grant writing for MSU and external groups.
- Disseminating critical usability and accessibility information through publications, educational programming, workshops, and symposia
- Serving as a hub for professional, scholarly, and public discourse about usability and accessibility
Opportunities for Students: The Center supports graduate and undergraduate education by employing students who gain real-world experience in planning and running usability tests, as well as by making the lab facilities available as a resource for MSU credit courses and curricular programs.
